Situational Analysis

The customer requested an online credit card website interface with First Data Resource (FDR) on a J2EE platform. Key requirements were to support 1,000 concurrent users and to ensure high reliability, maintenance capability and quality. In addition, it required capacity and bandwidth to manage the global transactions of multiple databases and a potential database failure.

Strategic Approach

• To facilitate the architecture design and customer collaboration, Bleum placed the project's manager and architect at the customer site.
• In conjunction with the customer team, Bleum recommended the use of Spring for aspect development and Hibernate for OR mapping.
• Performed peak and load testing for various business cases under normal and peak load conditions.
